Home in Christ

What does it mean to Live Christ Centered?

Jesus gets the glory!

A Christ-centered life begins with realising that the source of everything we are is the Lord. Provider and preparer of a Home for us. He created us, He owns us. He gifted us with talents, He authors our story, and every blessing that we receive comes from Him!

Christ is the source for our daily righteousness. We have no internal desire or moral ability to live up to biblical standards on our own. But in Christ, we have everything we need for Godly living.

The Spirit of God’s role is to glorify Christ and intercede Christ’s life to you and me. That will produce spiritual power or bring change into any life that is resting in the value, meaning, and abundance of Christ as the source and ground of all life and meaning.

Christ Centered, Christ

What is a Christ Centered Life?

Simply put- it is placing the name of Jesus higher than any other name. Higher than anyone or anything else in your life.

A Christ-centered life means that the Person of Jesus is the motivation for everything we think, say and do. Many of us leave little room for Christ in our Christianity. By that, I mean that our ability to “keep the law” or our pride is what defines our faith, not the Person of Jesus.

Jesus is Home!

Is your Christianity intimate and personal? Do you want to know Christ? and be part of His work? How can you please Him? Live to be incarnate of His character? A Christ-centered life is deeply intimate and motivated by a relationship with Christ.

If we want to experience the transformed life, we must understand and count on who we are in Christ and how that affects our walk in life. Romans 6, understanding the practical implications of our position and union in Christ is foundational to Romans 7 and Romans 8, the walk in and by the Spirit of God.

It’s not wrong to pursue personal goals, but the glory of Christ is the orienting compass that gives direction to all others.

Because we want Christ to be known, honoured, worshiped and obeyed, we submit every other attainable goal to Him. Our decisions are no longer controlled by selfish desires, but by new desires we get from His love.

We have hope in the here and now, because Christ has promised his presence and grace until we go home.

Ask yourself: is your life Christ-centered?

Finding Strength in Adversity: Reflection on Psalm 3

1 Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!2 Many are saying of me,“God will not deliver him.”3 But you, Lord, are a shield around me,my glory, the One who lifts my head high.4 I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain.5 I lie down and sleep;I…

Easy and Happy are unfamiliar to me

In the tapestry of life, the threads of hardship are often intricately woven, creating a pattern that seems unfamiliar and challenging. It’s during these times that the concepts of “easy” and “happy” appear distant and foreign, yet it’s essential to recognize that our journey is part of a greater design. Isolation can be a formidable…

  5. I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s equally
educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head.
The issue is something which too few men and women are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy I came across this in my search for something concerning this.

  7. Hi Steven:
So nice to see your happiness, growth and blessings.
Hope this message finds you well. Just wanted to reach out to you and let you know that i’ve recently begun sharing a few inspiring thoughts via YouTube through a live stream done mostly every Saturday. As someone I admire for being part of life’s journey, I wanted to share this invite with you so you too can be blessed.
If you or someone you know is going through a difficult situation, everything can change when we commit these situations to God.
He can give us victory, no matter what the issue…no matter what picture the adversaries and obstacles paint around us…no matter what is going on in the world…no matter how hopeless and fearful things may appear.
Instead of being worried and afraid, we can trust in the Lord. He can turn around any situation.
Today, as you watch this video and listen to the message, allow God to turn your frustrations into a testimony of a 180 degree change in that situation.
Please do watch if possible and post a comment so we can pray over it and agree together.
    Blessings,
    Sophie
