Baptism

When John the Baptist baptised Jesus in the river Jordan, God the Father was not going to be left out. He was eager to baptise Jesus as well, but not with water. Rather, Jesus would be baptised with the Holy Spirit Baptism.

The Bible explains how the Spirit of God descended and remained upon Jesus:
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” – Matthew 3:16-17
By being filled with the Spirit Himself, Jesus set a pattern for His children to follow. Once saved, the next step for the believer is this marvelous infilling. Before Jesus was filled, He did no mighty works. After He was filled, He became unstoppable. Certainly, if Jesus needed the Holy Spirit in order to do the work of God, you and I need Him as well.
When you accepted Jesus as Savior, the Holy Spirit Baptism came to live in you. However, being baptised in Him involves far more than God simply setting up home in your heart. Rather, it means you become utterly soaked in His power, presence and personality. You become wholly united with Him, ready to labor as His vessel to plunder hell and populate Heaven!
Holy spirit Power
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
