Spirit of Fire – Be Eternity Minded

Reality of eternity

Share, Good News, Eternity

The apostle Paul understood that the reality of eternity must at all times supersede earthly dilemmas. Daily challenges usurp our attention, threatening to overwhelm us so that we “take our eyes off the prize”. What is the prize?

Simply put, plundering hell to populate Heaven! The big picture is eternity, and our role in it is of tremendous importance.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15:

14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”

Redemption sealed

The deed has been done, the redemptive work accomplished. However, such a glorious plan only impacts the life of an individual when they become aware of it and accept the Lord as their personal Savior to live in eternity. We are the messengers, the ones who have been entrusted with the word of truth.

2 Corinthians 5:20:

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

If we keep silent, the world perishes. Keep the Word alive! Eternity awaits.

Dear friends, have you become distracted by earthly dilemmas? Have you become so obsessed with your career, wealth and personal issues that you no longer witness to those dying without Christ? Our priorities must be in order: eternity first; then everything else.

It is only the souls of men and women that will live on for eternity; all else fades away.

1 John 2:17

“The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”

1 Corinthians 7:31

“those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.”

In our words and deeds, we should be grabbing hold of every opportunity to direct people to Christ. We should be living with eternity in mind.
