A Personal Pentecost
Paul in Ephesus 19 While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2 and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” Acts 19:1-2 The Holy Spirit When Paul came to Ephesus,… Continue reading A Personal Pentecost
Knowing and Believing
Who am I? This is not a one-time question for most of us. Throughout life we can find ourselves questioning - yet again - who am I, and what have I allowed to influence my life over the voice of God? The living God has given us His Word and Spirit. And He has told us… Continue reading Knowing and Believing
What God says, goes!
How can we know who we truly are? We have to know what God says about us first! Thankfully, our identity in Christ - that is, who we are as followers of Jesus - can be found rooted in the foundation of Scripture. So many voices compete for our attention. The song, “Shallow,” a duet by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper from the movie "A Star is Born". To view the first… Continue reading Move far away from the shallow

The Lord reigns
Psalm 97 1 The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. 2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. 3 Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. 4 His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. 5 The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. 6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all peoples… Continue reading The Lord reigns
Rest My Dearest Child!
Wow, don’t we all need this right now. Rest in the loving arms of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
by Hazel Straub
My Dearest Child,
Unload and cast all the heavy burden of worries, fretting, and all anxiety that you have carried, onto me. It is time to release all heaviness and all your troubles and concerns, to me, Daddy God.
Cease striving, struggling, staggering and working so hard, in your own strength. I am calling you to rest in me, while I work on your behalf. Relax and snuggle close, resting your head over my heart. In my presence, find peace, provision, refreshment, and restoration.
Love you so much,
Daddy God
“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me.” (Matthew 11:28-29 TPT)
